I am a conscientious, highly organised payroll professional with extensive payroll experience spanning over 20 years within multiple business sectors, Having many accomplishments with extensive experience of managing and developing teams, payroll and pension functions within a variety of business sectors including Fintech tech startup, Not-for-Profit, Global firms, Payroll providers and Manufacturing.

Throughout my career, I am passionate about driving change and continuous improvement including transforming departments by driving quality, efficiency and delivering customer service excellence. I have a strategic and analytical mindset and confident in making business decisions by identifying resource implications, restructuring teams, process mapping to streamline processes by implementing automation. I have a high attention to detail and can identify risks and implementing controls to mitigate risk.

I have HR and payroll commercial awareness with extensive experience of HR and payroll systems and can identify improvements and implement solutions to drive a better customer experience.

I am confident in advising, influencing and communicating to key stakeholders of legislation changes relating to employment tax and can communicate well at all levels.

Having worked across many sectors including complex organisations and within payroll bureaus I recognise that different sectors have different complexities around their internal processes and policies within HR and payroll.

Most recent achievements have been recruiting and setting up a brand-new payroll operations team, providing UK expertise in building payroll and HR products to be launched for the UK market and providing strategic guidance and advice.

As Head of Payroll Services for a Fintech business I was accountable and responsible for setting up UK payroll services from scratch twelve months ago. This included the recruitment of a team of UK payroll experts, onboarding and migrating new clients to Symmetrical, implementing new payroll software, setting up of payroll operating procedures, compliance checks, creating SLA’s, support services, setting performance objectives and KPI’s for the team to drive operational excellence and provide a “best in class” customer service, creating reward and benefit strategies, governance and auditing, identifying and mitigating risk.

Working closely with key clients to ensure a smooth delivery of their payroll.

Furthermore, I am the point of contact for escalated complex payroll queries or cases and provide expertise to both the team and external clients, including vendor management.

As a payroll expert, I provide internal expertise to our product developers on tech features and functionality to assist in the build of our own tech to modernise the world of payroll.

Currently oversee a team of 16 in Poland and 6 in UK, I am accountable for driving continuous change, performance and efficiency of the team to deliver approx. 12000 weekly payslips and 700+ monthly payslips for external clients across Poland and UK.

I am part of the senior leadership team and working collaboratively on business strategy to develop the best HR and payroll tech to serve the gig economy to transform the way in which payroll is processed.
