Led a 5-person squad revamping Hublo's interoperability with external software. Consolidated 5 legacy systems powering mission-critical features for Hublo's largest accounts into a unified Airflow platform on Kubernetes. Delivered comprehensive migration adding business understanding, documentation, observability, robustness, and idempotence.

Migrated most of the database from Firestore to Postgres as the data was actually highly relational. As a result, I converted entire backend tasks to a few SQL queries: fewer lines of code, more reliability, fewer resources, and lower costs.

Significantly improved the speed and reliability of business intelligence.

Cut down CI time from 15min to 30s (-97%) and release time from 15min to few seconds for data jobs.

Added observability to backend and data tasks to know if systems actually did what they were supposed to do.

Helped the backend team reduce technical debt which could cause severe business issues like technical and customer support spent on orders not being processed.

Tried to setup team practices to improve velocity: daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, ticket qualification, and release processes.

Mentored and managed a data scientist and a backend engineer.
