Team lead and technical lead of a competency center of 70+ people (PO, QA, developers) based in France (20 people) and in India (50+ people). The goal of the competency center is to deliver booking websites.
3 steps in this journey:
- Understand the environment: I learnt and mastered the technical / stack and gather the functional knowledge
- Share knowledge and deliver : I created a Scrum team in charge of / delivering booking websites in a predictable way.
- Industrialisation (2 years process) : I co-created 7 teams working in 3 different SAFe trains, from France and India, based on the first scrum team.
Key success factors:
- Delivery follow-up and high flexibility: I built a follow-up process in which teams follow their delivery, highlight and mitigate risks, adjust delivery velocity and plan.
- Team training : I built a 1-month training to train any web developer to join and deliver value after a month.
- Team members think as a team : happiness, solidarity, mutual assistance, natural involvement.
