Réda Boumahdi

Co-founded the venture in 2018 (as Harold Waste) and grew it into Jules AI — an AI-driven commodity & trade-risk management platform automating the buying, selling and trading of recycled metals. Built the product and engineering organization from zero as CTO, leading a globally distributed team (Paris, Toronto, Pune); owned architecture, stack, hiring and roadmap. Architected the platform on TypeScript / Node — Express, Apollo (GraphQL) Server, Knex and PostgreSQL, containerized with Docker; React on the front end. Scaled it to process ~2 million metric tons of scrap in 2024, cutting traders' processing time by up to 7×. Led the company to a successful exit: acquisition by TSXV-listed MineHub Technologies in 2025.

Built a VSCode extension automating a large-scale Ember → React migration, slashing manual conversion work. Designed a reusable "pattern" system — codified prompts (e.g. form handling) that the tool auto-detects per page and applies via LLM-driven dynamic prompting. Paired senior React expertise with applied AI tooling to accelerate the migration.

Built client products end-to-end (React, JavaScript, Python), progressing from junior to senior. Shipped machine-learning and computer-vision features, from data ingestion to custom algorithms solving real business problems. Set up CI pipelines, worked in Scrum / Lean teams, and advised clients on extracting business value from their data.
