About Peter

"I work in English and French — n'hésitez pas à me contacter en français."

Most scaling brands hit a wall with their demand planning. Demand is growing, the team is stretched, and the process holding it together stops working (usually a collection of duplicated spreadsheets and instinct). Supply and demand do not align. Finance and Ops stop trusting the same numbers. Decisions get made late, or not at all.

I work with scaling FMCG, DTC, and manufacturing businesses to fix this. I build Demand Planning and S&OP that actually works: a clean demand plan the whole business can commit to, a planning cadence that keeps teams aligned, and a forecasting process that drives operational action.

I bring 15 years across commercial and operations roles, including building planning infrastructure from scratch at a rapidly scaling consumer brand operating across eight international markets. I know what good looks like at scale, and I know how to build toward it from where most growing businesses actually start.

I work tool-agnostically; most engagements run in Excel or Google Sheets. Where there is a data or analytics team, I work alongside them on pipelines and automation. The goal is always a planning framework the business can run and maintain, not a dependency on me.

I work with founders, supply chain leads, operations directors and commercial and finance teams who know their planning process needs fixing and want someone who hit the ground running and build a process that drives action.

Experience

  • SopFlow
    Analytics & BI Consultant
    CONSULTING AND AUDITS
    January 2025 - Today (1 year and 5 months)
    Narbonne, France
Help teams move from fragmented reporting to decision-grade metrics and lightweight BI, typically starting with KPI definitions, ownership/cadence, and automation of recurring reporting.
    • Designed KPI frameworks (“one set of numbers”) with metric owners, refresh cadence, decision rules, reducing recurring “number debates” and improving confidence in weekly decisions.
    • Mapped end-to-end reporting/planning flows and removed duplicated trackers and manual breakpoints via semi-automation (reduced points of failure by ~60%).
    • Built spreadsheet-first scenario tools and exec-ready decision packs that convert analysis into trade-offs and actions (capacity/inventory views, risks & opportunities).

  • Butternut Box
Senior Analyst, Performance & Decision Systems (S&OP / Planning Analytics)
    E-COMMERCE
    January 2024 - February 2025 (1 year and 1 month)
    London, United Kingdom
Owned cross-functional performance and planning analytics across 8 markets. Acted as “product owner” for internal forecasting/planning tooling and the reporting layer behind weekly decision-making.
    • Ran cross-functional S&OP across 8 international markets at ~600 tonnes/week, aligning assumptions across Commercial/Ops/Finance and improving decision speed and clarity through standardised packs and dashboards.
    • Built and standardised KPI dashboards and automated reporting pipelines (Snowflake/SQL + BI), replacing spreadsheets, reducing manual consolidation, and improving metric consistency for weekly leadership reviews.
    • Acted as product owner for planning/forecast tooling: gathered requirements, defined success metrics, supported rollout/adoption, and improved operating discipline (ownership, inputs, comms), contributing to ~2% MAPE outcomes.
    • Scoped a new MRP (business case, risk assessment, rollout planning) to improve scalability and reduce friction.

  • Butternut Box
Commercial Analyst, Growth & Demand Analytics
    E-COMMERCE
    January 2022 - January 2024 (2 years)
    London, United Kingdom
Built the reporting and analytical foundation used in Weekly Business Reviews, connecting growth/marketing performance to commercial outcomes and operational implications.
    • Owned core growth + marketing KPI reporting used for WBR; improved repeatability and reduced manual work through automation and standardised definitions. Example: Friday Standup Metrics used for weekly company-wide meetings.
    • Supported experimentation and product decision-making by shaping hypotheses, defining success metrics, and quantifying business impact (margin, demand/supply implications). Example: evaluated a test on removing a 125g SKU for new customers and measured expected EBITDA impact, using Amplitude for results interpretation.
    • Built an MRP-style requirements model linked to the rolling demand forecast, creating a live requirements view across horizons and removing the need for an additional hire.
    • Created a procurement budgeting process from scratch, reducing annual/in-year budget building effort by ~40 hours per team member (6-person team ≈ 240 hours saved).
    • Led SKU rationalisation analysis and business case including ~£400k annual cost reduction, and decision-ready trade-offs.
