    November 2018 - Today (7 years and 7 months)
•Through my career as a lawyer from 2004 until 2018, I have defended and resolved more than 1000 cases before deferent courts in Syria, and since I founded NoPhotoZone in 2018, my team and I have supported more than 3000 families of victims in Syria, Lebanon and Turkey.

After more than 25 years of activism in many field of human rights, basically in the field of supporting victims of torture, ill_treatment, unlawful detention, forcibly disappearance and domestic violence, beside my expertise on protection during conflict and peace building during and post conflict, i feel grateful to my suffering from the mentioned violations, that caused for me beside a high level of PTSD and STSD, a very impactful influence and inspiration to other victims and young human rights activists.
At this stage of age and experience, I believe in my role in change making toward peace.
I have developed my work experience as a human rights lawyer since 2004, specifically focusing on justice and accountability for Syria. I founded NoPhotoZone Orgnization in 2018 to transmit the memory of my lare husband Bassel Khartabil Safadi, a prominent Palestinian Syrian activist and global programmer who was detained by the Syrian regime in 2012 and executed in 2015. Before and through NoPhotoZone, I have documented cases of arbitrary detention, torture, death penalty, sexual violations and, missing persons and enforced disappearance, which informed the reports of international organizations and international actors on these issues. I have also provided legal assistance and conducted legal empowerment sessions for women-led families of detainees and forcibly disappeared. As rights-holders, these sessions have enabled families to better understand their rights, better represent their own stories, and reduced their risk of exploitation by fixers. Through legal assistance, I provided families with safe channels to inquire about their loved ones. In collaboration with other Syrian lawyers.
