Ensuring online articles are free from errors, grammatically accurate and adhere to house style; checking images and captions, and that posts are legally compliant. I have stood in for the senior sub-editor when necessary and helped to organise SEO training sessions. My role involves working collaboratively and includes the building of good relationships with the news, features and i-weekend teams.

I subbed news and features regularly for the main, Scottish and online editions of The Times and Sunday Times as well as the Smartphone and Apple editions of The Sun. Magazines I have worked for include Coach (launch edition), Country Life, Decanter and GQ, and I have chief subbed for a Runner's World bookazine, Learn to Run.

Working for the Sunday Independent's outsourced Review section, subbing and proofing features, columnist and opinion pieces, supervising a team of three and acted as a trainer and mentor.
