Maria Sloeva

Maria curates and leads a program of the CultTech Summit, a pioneering international platform exploring the intersection of culture, art, and technology. As Program Director, she designs the summit’s content strategy, builds partnerships across disciplines, and coordinates diverse stakeholders—from cultural institutions and tech innovators to artists and policymakers.

Her work involves shaping the narrative of the summit, ensuring it reflects urgent cultural, social, and technological questions of our time. She brings together thought leaders, creators, and entrepreneurs to foster dialogue, inspire innovation, and create tangible collaborations.

The 2025 Summit opened with keynotes by Nobel Laureate Sir Kostya Novoselov and visionary theatre director and composer Heiner Goebbels, setting the stage for an ambitious program. Under Maria’s direction, the event also featured sessions on cultural accessibility, systemic challenges within the creative industries, and sustainable revenue models, alongside exhibitions, performances, and startup showcases that connected artistic practice with technological innovation.

Maria produced the CultTech Camp 2024, an intensive residency designed to bring together artists, researchers, and scientists. The program focused on experimentation at the crossroads of art, culture, and emerging technologies, fostering collaboration and prototyping across disciplines.

As producer, Maria managed the camp’s structure, logistics, and partnerships, working with international participants to create a space for innovation, dialogue, and co-creation.

Maria created and performed the lecture-performance “The Art of Coming Out: Queers Take the Stage”, a hybrid format blending academic reflection, personal narrative, and theatrical staging. The work explored how queer voices transform the stage into a space of visibility, resilience, and re-imagined community.

By combining storytelling, theory, and performance, Maria invited audiences to reflect on the politics of representation and the power of artistic practice in shaping identity. The piece engaged scientists, artists, and the wider public, highlighting her ability to navigate between intellectual discourse and embodied experience.
