CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is the world's largest physics experiment, focusing on particle physics to understand the fundamental structure of the universe. I worked in the experiment support section, which collaborates with institutes globally distributed. I developed electronics cards for controlling various systems (such as power distribution, cooling, and board interoperability), FPGA firmware implementing high-speed protocols to communicate with radiation hardened devices, and test benches for testing ASICs, custom hardware and lab instruments.
