My name is Jevorn, I am a 28-year-old Jamaican that has been living and working in France for the past 5 years. I originally came here to take a break and teach English for a year. That quickly turned into me pursuing my masters in Language and European Management and eventually to working in a marketing company called Sendinblue where I was exposed to design and to a greater extent the world of tech.

As you can probably tell I am not afraid of adapting and taking on new challenges, so I then decided to become UX UI Designer after being in an intense bootcamp. Everything that I have learnt from my previous experiences has a part in the world of UX UI Design. From the content creation for the lessons I taught, to the research I undertook both in my studies (while applying for a PhD) and work , to the exposure that I got to coding , API and design from working in a company specializing in SaaS.

In the future, I would definitely want to bring accessibility to the forefront of all of my designs and create apps and products geared towards individuals with disabilities. Ultimately having products that can relate to all types of users. Being relatable is a key personality trait that I think is indispensable for any individual to have in the world of User Experience /User Interface design.

I am passionate about working with SaaS and in certain terms EduTech.

I have expertise in Figma, Adobe XD and experience in different forms of userability and desirability testing.

While I was exposed in the Bootcamp to basic HTML and CSS , I am currently working on a certificate with Johns Hopkins Univeristy in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
