Expertise (48)
Jean in a few words
Software Executive and Technologist. Architect and Entrepreneur, with management, design and hands-on development expertise in Blockchain, Big Data and highly scalable distributed systems. Experienced with startups as well as with tier-1 investment banks in England, US, Japan and France. I manage and advise R&D and Architecture Teams, engage and evangelise clients at C level.

I co-founded Colibrate to create products using multiple technologies and frameworks surrounding the use of Smart Contracts, Blockchain, Confidential & Accelerated Computing, NLP as well as No Code UI generation & Augmented Reality.

Before that I cofounded Matrics.io to bring Cloud , Blockchain and AI techniques in a single platform. 91.life, which applies the same principles to the domain of precision medicine for remote heart device monitoring.

Before that, I was Chief Architect at Calypso. I introduced Calypso to Blockchain and setup the partnership with R3. I architected the distributed trade matching and organised a PoC around the world with 6 major sell and buy-sides. It will be interesting to see how Calypso follows up on that vision.

in 2005 I created ActiveViam on the realisation that Grid Computing and In-memory Computing would change the landscape of business intelligence applied to financial systems. I built the overall architecture and developed ActivePivot - ActiveViam real time in memory big data product.

My interests are in Distributed Computing, Blockchain and the applications of Natural Language Processing, High Throughput / High Availability Component Based System Architecture, High Performance Computing and Big Data.
