Dorian in a few words

IT engineer since 2018, I'm looking for opportunities in Python development.

I have a strong experience in desktop development since I worked for Intel to create a desktop application for its thermicians. I was the main developer on this very complete application, and got to work with colleagues and clients directly, as well as with a tester. After about a year and a half of work, a simplified version of it was sold to Samsung.

I would love a new experience on Desktop development, but I'm also very interested in all that is Data related, which very often relates to the work I'm doing in Python. I'm capable of doing research and taking decisions regarding what the best solution is to store data, and to access and use it efficiently.

I'm eager to find intersting and challenging projects to keep learning new things, offer my expertise on what I already know, and create some great applications.

For this mission, the goal is to handle netcdf oceanographic data files, ingest their data into a Postgresql database, so that we can create a tool to visualize this data (with a tool like Bokeh). I'm in charge of development for this mission, trying to bring the maximum to that new company, Pokapok.

Consultant in software development for Altran, I worked for Intel for almost two years as the main developer on a python project aiming to develop and deploy a desktop application built with wxPython for the company's thermicians. This application's goal was to allow users to capture a system's geometry, and to parameterize and start simulations on this system, with options to do the work on an Intel cluster.
After that mission for Intel, I also worked a lot with IFREMER to handle data transformations and visualization, and data APIs.

Data Engineering, Column Oriented Database Management System For this internship I was in charge of doing research on timeseries column-oriented DBMS, choosing one of the many open source systems available, installing and setting it up, and managing the relation between that new system (Druid was the system of choice) and the online bidding system of ORTEC Adscience.
