Project Creator and Manager of the YouTube Chanel “Egypt Folk Music”. The
project is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to the preservation, documentation,
and widespread dissemination of Egypt's rich traditional music. With a focus on
safeguarding the cultural legacy embedded within these musical traditions, the
project aims to ensure their longevity for future generations while sharing their
beauty with a global audience.
Created and captured the essence of Egyptian traditional music of the 19th century.
Inspired by the letters of Champollion during his 1828 expedition to Egypt. These
compositions served as a musical background for the Champollion Museum in
Isère, France.
Directed the Egyptian “Tahtib” movie for the UNESCO “Significant List of
Intangible Cultural Heritage”.
Monitored and produced Sudan Needs Assessment for the Digitization of the Folk
and Traditional Music Assessment and Planning Report for the Management and
Preservation of the Audio-Visual Archives of Traditional Sudanese music, stored in
the Folk and Traditional Music Archives at the University of Khartoum. Project
funded by the UNESCO.
Writing and recording “Musiciens d’Égypte” Book and CD on the experience and
knowledge of traditional musicians, in cooperation with the French Institute of
Oriental Archeology (IFAO) (ongoing).
Consultant with the MedLiHer project, on staff capacity-building for the
implementation of the “Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural
Heritage”, Euromed, UNESCO, Egypt.
Produced the MedLiHer Project documentary film “Another Vision of
Mediterranean Living Heritage”, Based on ICH in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon
UNESCO.
