Andres Gomez

I have two years of experience in professional and volunteer full stack web development and recently discovered passion for functional programming and Clojure.

Since late 2021 I have been working in developing web applications in Clojure and ClojureScirpt.

Most of my time has been devoted to developing the business logic of the Daisy Plugin, a plugin for Figma that translates a Design System in Figma into a ReactJS component library.

In this project I also created two user facing pages, a Figma Plugin interface in ReactTS and a web app with CLJS/Reagent/Re-frame.

During this period I also worked on the development of a mobile app using Krell and react-native.

Currently I am working on a part time full stack project using CLJS/Reagent/Re-frame and LeafletJS in the front end and Clojure with Compojure and a Datahike database on the back end.

In 2020 I contributed to an open source app for a cooperative supermarket. In this project I participated in the creation of the project specifications with the community, in the definition of the data models, and in the creation of the front end in ReactTS and a GraphQL api. This app is used daily by over 1000 users/month to coordinate the operation of the supermarket.

As part of an internship I worked in creating a kanban board web app with a VueJS front-end and a Node/Express/FeathersJs backend. It was a fully reactive app using websockets and the HTML drag and drop inteface in order to assure instant and ergonomic collaboration between users.
