Wojtek in a few words

For last couple years I've been busy creating integrations between fulfillment warehouses and stores, scaling the architecture to process millions of orders using service-oriented architecture, message queues and containers.

What I love the most is building a product from scratch. Last one I've developed was ShootZilla (
"If you find yourself in a fair fight, you didn't plan your mission properly."

I'm always looking to stack odds in our favor by using well supported and integrated frameworks and tools, simplifying UIs, aggressively prioritizing, challenging requirements and cutting overhead whenever possible.

Experience

ShootZilla

Web developer

Haag, Netherlands

December 2012 - Today

Built whole SaaS product. Front-end and back-end, prototyping, performance optimization, server monitoring – whatever was needed to provide users with good UX. Iterated features until it does not resemble original MVP anymore. Responsibilities included challenging requirements, cutting corners and basking in positive feedback from happy customers.

Healthism Labs

Web developer

Vancouver

February 2012 - January 2013

Built first version of questionnaire editor for InputHealth.com. Automated generating mobile applications (Backbone.js) with PhoneGap, so that customers could package questionnaires they've built into mobile applications ready for submission to Apple App store. Prototyped integration with Microsoft HealthVault. Ensured HIPAA compliance. Prototyped data storage with asymmetric encryption, where only customers have decryption key in their mobile app.

Sage Software North America

Web developer

Vancouver

June 2009 - October 2011

I first took over maintenance of a invoicing application Billing Boss. I've learned to ship features on a legacy code base which thousands of customers depend on with their financial information, with confidence thanks to automated tests. Worked full-time in a team distributed across four time zones (mostly US-East and US-Pacific). Participated in designing and developing Payment Boss for mobile payments (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wtjeYaH_OE), project management and time tracking tool with integrated invoicing ("Sage Tropos") and other projects that were later merged into Sage One.
